A Little Background

So, in starting the blog I felt it might be helpful to start off with a little background for everyone, so here goes.

I'm Allie and am currently engaged. Yay! My fiancé is Steve and we both live in Michigan. We met a number of years ago on an online forum, actually a DD forum, so we obviously connected over that. We became fast friends and maintained that friendship over the course of many years and several "real life" relationships. Long story short, we finally decided to take that step from a friendship to a romantic relationship.

At the time, I lived in Alabama so I made several trips up here to visit. Honestly though, by the end of the first trip, I knew that this was the man I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. Less than six months after "meeting" him, I had found a job and moved across the country. As they say, the rest is history and the wedding date is April 28, 2012.

We have implemented DD into our relationship for a while now. Or maybe I should say that we have been implementing DD into our relationship for a while now. It's a work in progress to be sure. And like all couples we definitely have our struggles. I'm sure plenty of those will be explored on here at some point. Somehow though, we always manage to make it through these struggles and ultimately come out stronger both individually and as a couple.

I'm really looking forward to this blog. Steve and I previously had a shared blog on Wordpress but for various reasons have basically abandoned that blog to each have our own separate blogs. I can't wait to meet new people and hear what I'm sure will be some interesting and fun opinions!
